Ms. Ebony McDonald
Ebony A. McDonald began her career as a Spanish Teacher in Detroit, Michigan, where she was born and raised. Ms. McDonald went on to receive her master's in educational leadership and administration from Concordia University – Ann Arbor, Michigan. Being that Ms. McDonald has always had a passion for community development through education. It was no surprise to her family and friends when she moved to the Dominican Republic to serve as a Missionary and Principal of Ciudad de Luz in Montecristi for four years. Upon her return to the U.S., Ms. McDonald relocated to Texas and began working as a Bilingual Teacher at Westcliff Elementary. From the start, Ms. McDonald weaved herself into the fabric of Westcliff, serving on many school committees and sponsoring several student clubs and programs. After teaching seven years at Westcliff, Ms. McDonald moved back into administration, becoming an Assistant Principal for two years before returning to Westcliff as Principal in 2021. She has a vision of continuing and growing upon the foundation of academic achievement and excellence in education that has come to define Westcliff as an extraordinary school. Ms. McDonald enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and involvement in her local church.
